Gregory A. Meyer, M.A., LMHC
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12: 9-10

He is experienced in working with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, abuse, anger, sexual addiction, substance abuse, trauma, spiritual concerns, mid-life struggles, and vocational concerns. His work with couples has included pre-marital counseling and marriage therapy dealing with divorce and marital conflict.
Greg is passionate about the relationship between him and the patient, and their journey together into the depths of the therapeutic process. He believes that the absolute best way for anyone to discover and strengthen their relationship with The Truth is to embark upon the journey -- into the depths of struggle, pain, and difficulties that are prevalent in every life.
“When someone travels the road of pain, hurt and unhappiness, they will discover that Truth waits for them in the depths. If they are willing to travel deeper, with honesty and surrender, they will discover their Answer has been waiting to bring them to the other side. This journey is what brings awareness of their life’s meaning and beauty. Through this process, their eyes are opened to see how all of the decisions, surprises, successes, and failures of life have led to an understanding of The Truth and its relation to them and their story. Once they reach this understanding they find themselves on the journey towards wholeness.”
Greg is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New Mexico and a board eligible National Certified Counselor (NCC). He is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Christian Association of Psychological Studies (CAPS). |
