“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control”. Galations 5:22

It is my great privilege, joy, and honor to join with clients on their journey to emotional wellness and vitality. My work as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor is infused with a passionate belief that a therapist enters into a sacred trust with clients in both gently holding their pain and in facilitating the passage into emotional wellness and joyous living. Life is full of challenges; it is part of our human condition to be confronted with suffering and pain. It is in the acceptance of that knowledge and in the pursuit of empowered living that we are given the opportunity to transform our pain into growth, wisdom, compassion for others, and deeper connections in our relationships.
Trained as a traditional psychotherapist, I seek to meet my clients where they are by utilizing an adaptive, eclectic therapeutic orientation. I accept clients of all ages and all faiths and orientations. I work with clients with all varieties of concerns including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, grief, marriage and family issues, life balance and transition needs, developmental trauma, social skills enhancement, relationship issues, domestic violence, and abuse.
I received my BA from Cornell University in Social Relations. Later, I went on to obtain Licensure as an educator receiving a BS in Education from the University of New Mexico. After ten years as an educator in New Mexico Public Schools, I began ‘family building’ while concurrently attending Webster University where I graduated with an MA in Counseling Psychology.
My most passionate prayer in my work, my family, and my life is:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love,
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life
