Heidi Eynon, M.A., LPCC
"I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feel on solid ground and steadied me as i walk along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be astounded. They will put their trust in the Lord."
Psalm 40: 1-2
Heidi Eynon graduated from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. Prior to joining Christian Counseling Professionals in 2008, she worked in the state of Kansas in community mental health centers. "It is my belief that the counseling experience should help you to identify your strengths as well as bring clarity, insight and direction to your life." Heidi welcomes clients of all faith backgrounds but considers it a privilege to work with the individuals interested in integrating their Christian faith with their counseling experience. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy and play therapy to help bring healing and growth to individuals, couples and families.
She has found a niche working with parents of teens to restore "the hearts of parents to their children and the hearts of children to their parents (Malachi 4:6a)." However, she treats a variety of mental health issues, including depression, mood stabilization, anxiety, and skill building in interpersonal relationships. Outside of work, Heidi enjoys hiking, biking, card making and spending quality time with family and friends.
