“ But I will restore you to health
and heal your wounds;
declares the lord
“because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.”

"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
My hope comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation
He is my fortress; I will not be shaken."

Jeremiah 30:17 & Psalm 62:5-6

I believe that counseling is an opportunity, an open door that God gives us to move towards hope and restoration. Through love, support, encouragement, renewed faith, hope, balance, and most importantly the power of God we could “change” and get passed dark valleys in our lives.

Becoming a counselor has been an important part of my journey. God has a plan for all of us, but at times we can’t see it. We get stuck and feel hopeless. This is not how God intends us to live. He calls us to live by faith. God opened my eyes and showered me with forgiveness, revealed my potential, and walked with me towards restoration. He wants to do that for everyone, and I am excited to be part of that therapeutic journey towards healing, restoration, and transformation.

Everyone has a story to tell. Some of us are ashamed of that story, some of us are eager to tell it, and some of us want to pretend we are someone different, but God wants us to embrace who we are and who we have been in the past so that we could move forward. Counseling sometimes involves thorns of discomfort because we are dealing with hurts and emotions, but God calls us to this journey so that we could embrace the original master piece that he created. When we read Ps 139:14, we need to know that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and not walk around with doubt. Counseling is a tool, but God is the resource, the foundation to everyone’s healing process.

Jessica Diaz received her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling and her BA in Child Development and Family Relations. She’s worked in the Treatment Foster Care field for several years, was a school counselor, worked in residential treatment, and loves working with children, individuals, and families that need guidance and restoration.

Jessica provides individual, child, couple and family therapy. She is trained in all mental health areas, and believes in the power of God.
